Our team at Robert Bell Family Dental is dedicated to focusing on you and your health. We believe that good oral health plays a significant part in ensuring you experience good overall health throughout your lifetime. We focus on your needs and goals and only prescribe treatment that we believe is necessary. Your questions are welcomed as we want you to be informed and understand any treatment that is recommended. Our goal during your first and subsequent visits is to provide you with quality care that is personalized to meet your specific needs. What to Expect During Your First Visit:

Review your medical and dental history.

Take digital x-rays (read more) and intraoral photographs of your teeth and gums.

Conduct an oral cancer screening.

Check your teeth and gums for any cavities (tooth decay) or signs of gum disease (gingivitis, periodontitis).

Check your bite.
-
Clean your teeth using ultrasonic cleaning technology (read more) to remove plaque and tartar (calculus) that can damage your teeth and lead to cavities and gum disease.

Polish your teeth.

Floss your teeth.

Apply a sealant (if needed) to protect the teeth from tooth decay. (read more)

Develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your specific needs. This plan will be developed by Dr. Bell based on the results of your examination.
Because of the comprehensiveness of your first visit please plan to be in the office for approximately two (2) hours. Please bring your identification card (i.e. driver's license) and your insurance card if applicable (remember to bring to each of your appointments).
Follow-up Visits
During future appointments (approximately 1 hour) you will be seen by your hygienist who will become your partner in helping you to maintain good oral health.

She will reevaluate your overall oral health by examining your teeth and gums and document any changes.

She will clean, polish, and floss your teeth as was done during your first visit to remove plaque and tartar that may have formed.

Apply a sealant (if needed).

She will discuss any changes and assist you in developing and maintaining an effective oral health plan.

Insurance and Billing
We are an approved provider for several insurance companies, but accept all insurance that allows you to choose your dentist (out of network). We will assist you in determining your insurance coverage and obtaining the allowed benefits. We will file the claim with your insurance provider and request for your estimated portion on the day of treatment.

For your convenience we accept cash, personal checks and all major credit cards.

To assist you with paying for procedures that your insurance does not you can apply for CareCredit.
